WELCOME TO XPOSITION ‘O’ CONTEMPORARY DANCE FIESTA 2007 15 – 24 AUGUST 2007 Gallery Theatre, National Museum After enjoying huge successes in 2001, 2003 & 2005, presenting artists and companies from Australia, China, Finland, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Singapore and USA to a total audience of 5500 people, the biennial festival XPOSITION ‘O’ returns this August with a spectacular 9-day dance fiesta. Singapore’s only contemporary dance festival will present once again a diverse array of high-quality contemporary dance shows, as well as master classes and dance improvisation with national and international stars. Proudly organised by Singapore’s Odyssey Dance Theatre, XPOSITION ‘O’ CONTEMPORARY DANCE FIESTA 2007 will present 5 exciting contemporary dance works by artists from India, United Kingdom, South Korea and Singapore. This year’s festival will also feature Danny Tan’s brand-new full-length choreography ‘The Story Begins’ in collaboration with film director and pianist Wen-Shing Ho, an Assistant Professor with the School of Art, Design & Media, Nanyang Technological University. The festival’s initiative to promote contemporary and innovative dance has sustained over the years, gaining significant local and international importance since the festival’s acclaimed premiere in 2001. XPOSITION ‘O’ CONTEMPORARY DANCE FIESTA 2007 provides a new broad programme for all different tastes, giving its audience the unique chance to experience contemporary dance in its finest forms. |
