Synopsis

slowly... without haste,
leaving the swaying images behind
taking steps toward the spiritual tunnel.
attempting to take quick steps back but..
the ruins of the melted spirit
drop one by one
soon molding itself into a lump
branding onto my heart...

LEE JUNG-YEON
Choreographer / Dancer


Lee Jung-Yeon is the principal dancer at Kim Bock-hee’s Dance Company, and resident choreographer of Garimda Dance Company (Korea). She did her MFA at New York University – Tisch School of the Arts, and completed her PhD at Hanyang University in 2003.

She is currently teaching at Korea’s Hanyang University and Sang Myung University. Her awards include “Best Acts” at the 22nd Seoul Dance Festival in 2000, “Best Choreographer” at the 2nd Young Choreographer Award (2002), as well as selected “Young Artist” from The 2nd NArT (New Artist Trend) in February 2007. Apart from the large number of domestic performances, Lee has been invited to many international performances in Mexico, U.S.A., Italy, Egypt and Japan. Her work ‘Dark Desert’ was highly acclaimed during its premiere in Korea in 2006.

YOO HO SIK
Dancer


Yoo Ho-Sik studied at Hanyang University in Korea and 10 & 10 danza in Spain. He is a member of Garimda Dance Company, and has participated in over 30 productions. He was awarded the Special Prize at the 43rd National New Dancer’s Competition, and was selected by 2005 NArT (New Artist Trend) for ‘What they want…’ (choreographed by Ryu Seok Hun) as well as by 2006 NArT for ‘Shadow Walls’ (choreographed by Lee Jung-Yeon).
